GIRL POWER Summit
“Her Time to Shine” presented by The Power of Girls & the Jr. NBA is a four-day virtual Girl Power Summit for girls ages 11-16. The summit is designed to provide girls with tools and resources to help them become more self-aware, confident and well-rounded leaders through a series of panel discussions and interactive sessions. Girls will hear from and engage with an array of women executives, WNBA talent, influencers, professionals, and civic leaders.
This virtual summit tips off Thursday, February 18 and runs through Sunday, February 21.

Thursday, February 18
Women in Leadership: Her Time to Lead
7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. EST
This leadership panel will consist of six women who are at the top of their “game” in their respective fields. After hearing from the panelists, girls will have the opportunity to interact with them and participate in breakout sessions where they can ask engaging questions and learn more about the panelists’ career paths.
Friday, February 19
Game Night: Her Time to Win
7 p.m. EST
Girls will join a fun game night by playing trivia and participating in various game rooms, where they have the chance to win cool prizes such as WNBA & POG merchandise and a $100 gift card. They will also be able to interact with girls from around the country with guided “Girl Talks” about different topics.
Saturday, February 20
Her Time to Shine
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. EST
The Code to Confidence: This session will focus on the barriers to having confidence and share tools on how to overcome confidence issues and build strong self-esteem to be successful.
Keynote Speaker: New York Times bestselling author Kate T. Parker will address attendees about why “Strong is the New Pretty”.
Friendship 101: Girls will learn more about the importance of friendship, including the do’s and don’ts, what it means to be a true friend and how to heal from a broken friendship.
Sunday, February 21
Her Time to Heal
1 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. EST
This session will be a time for girls to learn how to heal from failures, societal pressures, toxic relationships, and possible identity issues. This interactive session will include a group activity followed by a session on journaling focused on the importance of journaling and how it helps with healing.
