GIRL POWER Summit
Her Time to Shine presented by The Power of Girls & the Jr. NBA is a powerful three-day virtual summit that convenes an array of women leaders who will deliver powerful content intended to equip girls ages 11-16 with tools and resources designed to help them be more self-aware, confident, and well-rounded leaders. Girls will be inspired by women executives, WNBA players, advocates, influencers, professionals, and civic leaders. This girl power virtual summit “tips off” March 24-26.
Sessions include:
Thursday, March 24
Leading by Action 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
This panel will consist of panelists who are advocates for girls in their field. Girls will have the opportunity to interact with panelists as well as participate in a breakout session where they can ask engaging questions and learn more about the panelists career paths.
Friday, March 25 Her time to Shine 7 p.m. – UNTIL
Girls will have the opportunity to participate and vote in on a virtual talent show featuring girls from across the country. The talent show will include poetry, lyricism, dancing, singing, and playing instruments.
Saturday, March 26 Her Time to Be Heard! 11am – 2pm
General Session with keynote speaker: 11am
Girls will have the opportunity to pick two sessions from the below breakout sessions: 12pm-1pm | 1pm-2pm.
– Leadership 101 Are you a leader? Do you know what it takes to be girl-lead? Learn about different leadership styles and how everyone can be a leader!
– Mindfulness Matters Learn about the art of Mediation and how it can assist with self-care
– Be Creative Show us your creative side as you learn tips and tricks from artists/designers!
– Girls in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Learn about influential women who are leaders in the STEM field
