Tameka

Tameka is our Founder & CEO, leading the strategic vision and direction of The Power of Girls.
Tameka has over 15 years of experience in experiential marketing, community development and partnership activation. She has also held community relations positions with the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) and Atlanta Dream (WNBA) where she developed programming focused on health and wellness, youth mentoring and women’s initiatives.
A graduate of Old Dominion University, Tameka earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and previously served on committees for GoGirlGo! and Usher’s New Look Foundation.

Sprague

Sprague has a background in communications, client services and community engagement. She currently serves in a leadership role for The Molly Fletcher Company after a career in the sports industry working for the Atlanta Dream and the Atlanta Falcons. Sprague is a graduate of Emory University where she played basketball and studied English and psychology. Outside of work, she enjoys playing sports, cheering on her favorite teams, good food & good friends, family time, reading, volunteering and traveling.

Leslie

Leslie Wells is a Certified Public Accountant and has a background in Accounting and Finance.  She currently outsources her talents to various companies throughout the Atlanta area.  She attended Auburn University where she studied International Business, then went onto Georgia State University to obtain her master’s in finance. While Leslie has grown up as a military child, she now calls Atlanta home.

Danielle

Danielle is a passionate technology executive whose led across multiple industries and discipline. Danielle is currently the CIO at Honeywell Connected Enterprise and has also held similar roles across GE and Nike. She holds an MBA in Technology Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology; a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University as is a graduate of the Women’s Corporate Board Readiness program from Santa Clara University’s Silicon Valley Executive Center. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and is a tireless advocate for empowering of future generation of women leaders and embedding STEM education in our youth.

Jade

Jade loves to see people win and champions mentorship that pushes women and girls into purpose. Throughout college and her career, she has mentored several young women and girls as they navigate their careers, education and spirituality. Jade attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. Currently, she works as a Senior Director, Strategy and Growth at Material, a customer experience and digital transformation consulting company. Jade has spent the majority of her career in consulting and technology leading agile teams focused on impact and growth.
She deeply values lifelong learning and transformational community impact. In line with her values, Jade is pursuing an MS in User Experience and Human Computer Interaction from Drexel University. She is also taking introductory courses in Biblical Hebrew and Greek. Jade regularly volunteers with Open Hand Atlanta and serves in the Discipleship and Education departments at her church, All Nations Worship Assembly – Atlanta. She’s also spent several years doing pro bono nonprofit consulting projects. Her experience in pro bono consulting includes board development, strategic alignment and strategic marketing. In her free time, Jade enjoys spending time with her dog, Malia, collecting and creating art, engaging with music and theatre, and spending time with friends and family.

Yvonne

Yvonne Dragon is co-founder of The Dragon Group. She is serves as Principal and COO for The Dragon Group.  The Dragon Group (TDG), a firm formed by herself and her husband Randall, specializes in space making and building communities through real estate development, green building, and sustainability consulting. The Dragon Group is the only firm of its kind to provide Sustainability AND Construction Management in the Southeast. Her operational role is to oversee business operations, talent recruitment and retention. Her primary industry focus centers around The Dragon Group’s Corporate Strategy, Well Building Solutions and Aviation Practice. She also leads TDG College Internship Program with students from the AUC, Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State.

Mrs. Dragon has over 20 years of program management, strategy, consulting and coaching, and mentoring experience.  Yvonne has led creation and implementation of Entrepreneurship Programs and Ecosystems for Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, US Small Business Administration, US Department of Commerce and Metro Chamber of Commerce.  In the span of her career, Yvonne has coached over 300 businesses and advised over 50 CEOs.

In 2010, Dragon was appointed to the City of Atlanta – Atlanta Commission on Women. Yvonne is also a sought-after small business expert that serves on panels and coaches for organizations including the City of Atlanta, Black Enterprise, and Babson College. Yvonne is a Babson College 10K Small Business Program Graduate and a proud ULI CFL Class of 2017 Graduate. Yvonne is a member of the International Well Building Institute COVID Task Force.

Yvonne is enjoys engaging outdoors and traveling with Randall and their two children that are middle school and high school.  She also an avid swimmer and triathlete.

Rene

Rene Chatfield, a former professional basketball player and with over 15+ years known for her trailblazing efforts as a sports marketing vet who has broken many glass ceilings as being the only “black female” in the room for many fortune 500 brands and companies like Turner Sports, NBA, WNBA, and Nike. As the CEO and Chief Strategist for Chat Champs LLC, Rene runs a successful boutique consulting firm servicing clients ranging from brands like the Jordan Brand to former NBA players Kenny Smith, Dominique Wilkins, Ron Artest and most recently CEO and Founder of HBCU Week Foundation who raised over $50M in scholarship funds for HBCU students in just one year. Rene is very passionate about mentoring young men and women searching for direction in career advice and/or entrepreneurship. She currently serves as the most newly appointed board member of the non-profit Power of Girls.

Dr. Tam Chambers

Tamika currently works for NWEA as Vice President of Partner Accounts supporting International and National Accounts. She previously worked in education as a principal, educator, Director of Curriculum and Assessment and supported teams to open charters schools across the country. She has an independent consulting firm that acts as a Strategic Advisor to the Catalyst for Educational Change organization. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., The Links Inc., and Jack and Jill of America where she gets to share her talents to support her community in various ways.

jasmine Bell

Jasmine Bell is an attorney who specializes in tech and data privacy law. She was born in Austin, TX and raised in Houston, TX. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a B.S. in Communication Studies in 2016, and she minored in African and African Diaspora Studies. She graduated from Emory Law in 2019 with her JD. She is currently Legal Counsel for Kaleyra, Inc.; an Atlanta-based company that specializes in communications. Previously, she was a legal fellow for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in Washington, DC. While attending Emory, she interned with Viacom by working with their live events and entertainment division for MTV, Vh1, and Logo in New York City. Jasmine enjoys spending time with her family and friends and binge watching a good Netflix series with her fur babies.
